Creekside High School’s JROTC Seminole Battalion has achieved remarkable success in the Fulton County School’s Cadet of the Year competition in Fulton County, GA. Out of the 2,100 cadets participating in JROTC across Fulton County, two of our outstanding cadets have been recognized as winners in their respective categories. Cadet of the Year Winners: April 19, 2025.
c/1LT Jada Wright, a sophomore, triumphed in the LET 1 category.
c/MAJ D’Anna Curlett, also a sophomore, excelled in the LET 2 category. This prestigious honor highlights the dedication, hard work, and excellence of our cadets. The competition was fierce, and our cadets demonstrated exceptional skills in various events.

Competition Events:
Cadet Challenge: Cadets showcased their physical fitness through push-ups, curl-ups, and a 1-mile run.
Knot Tying: Cadets demonstrated their proficiency in tying various knots, including the bowline and slip-eight.
Uniform Placement: Cadets meticulously placed awards and decorations on their uniforms according to prescribed standards.
First Aid: Cadets performed life-saving steps and treated casualties for common injuries.
Drill and Ceremony: Cadets executed individual and squad drill commands with precision.
Mastery Skills Test: Cadets took an electronic test to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Cadets Wright and Curlett’s outstanding achievements are a testament to the quality of the Creekside JROTC program and the support of our dedicated instructors. Their success has earned them admiration from their peers, instructors, and the entire JROTC community. We eagerly anticipate witnessing their continued growth and success as leaders and proud representatives of the JROTC community.
