Signing Day for a high school student often means a commitment to athletics at the next level. On March 28th, Ryan Windley signed to serve his state and country as a member of the Army National Guard. He is currently a senior in high school in his fifth semester in the district’s JROTC Program. Windley will attend Basic Combat Training this fall and Advanced Individual Training and train for his military occupation specialty as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist (74D). Based on his commitment, Windley will qualify for 100 percent tuition assistance and begin receiving compensation for drills and federal service time toward retirement.
