Denbigh High School’s Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Prudencio, Battalion Commander of the Patriot Battalion, has been awarded a prestigious three-year Army ROTC Scholarship to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). This scholarship recognizes his outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to service. Isaac is a well-rounded student-athlete, serving as Captain of the varsity golf team, Co-Captain of the varsity soccer team, and a member of the varsity swim team. His commitment extends beyond athletics, as he has consistently maintained A/B Honor Roll status throughout high school. His academic achievements have led to his selection for American Legion Virginia Boys State, the JROTC Cadet Leadership STEM Camp at Virginia Tech, and his leadership roles as President of the French Honor Society, Reporter for the National Honor Society, and Captain of the JROTC Academic Bowl Team.
In addition to his academic and athletic accomplishments, Isaac is also part of the Newport News Public Schools Aviation Magnet Program, further demonstrating his drive for excellence in both leadership and technical fields.
Cadet LTC Prudencio’s scholarship to VMI is a testament to his hard work, discipline, and unwavering commitment to success. The Denbigh High School JROTC program is incredibly proud of his achievements and looks forward to seeing him excel as a future leader in the U.S. Army.
