Denbigh High School JROTC Cadets Thinh Sam and Amaya Washington were recently recognized by Delegate Shelly A. Simonds of the Virginia General Assembly and Virginia House of Delegates for their outstanding academic excellence and achievement. This prestigious honor highlights their dedication to academic success, leadership, and commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.

Cadet Thinh Sam, who maintains an impressive 4.33 GPA, and Cadet Amaya Washington, who holds a 3.91 GPA, have demonstrated exceptional performance in their studies while balancing the rigorous demands of JROTC. Their hard work and perseverance have set a high standard for their peers and reflect the core values of discipline, responsibility, and academic excellence upheld by the Patriot Battalion.
