The importance of teamwork in JROTC revolves around effective communication, leadership development, and collaboration. During our visit to the annual U.S. Army Recruitment event at Fort Liberty, cadets from Overhills High School had the opportunity to explore various Military Occupational Specialties and gain insight into the daily responsibilities of soldiers.

Engaging in hands on activities, the cadets operated drones and tried on military equipment, which provided them with a practical understanding of how leadership and teamwork are essential components of military service. C/CPT Chrystian Fielding remarked, “This is a great opportunity for our cadets to explore and learn about our soldiers and gain perspective on what we represent as a program,” as he guided a group of cadets. Our Cadets had the opportunity to explore satellites and their various applications.

They enjoyed a Soldier’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner (MRE). They also connected with other schools and engaged with soldiers about their daily routines. The Jaguar Battalion expresses gratitude to our soldiers for their service and for taking the time to provide us with insights.
