The Merritt Island High School Mustang Male and Mixed Raider Team competed at the State Raider Competition at the Sand Hills Boy Scout Reservation. The competition included events such as 5K Run, Cross-Country Rescue, Tire Flip, One-Rope Bridge, and Raider Fitness Challenge. The Mustang Males placed 3rd in the 5K run, while the Mixed team placed 1st in the 5K run and achieved high rankings in other events, earning them 2nd place overall in Tier 2. Raider Commander Cadet Captain Karson Conti received the 2nd place trophy from the 6th Brigade JROTC Director Mr. Robert Hyver.
