Viking Battalion on the football field for their annual tradition in a “W” formation

For five weeks straight, the Viking Battalion worked hard every Saturday and in class to prepare for the Homecoming Parade. But those sacrifices eventually paid off. With their performance on Friday, October 25th, it was clear the cadets of the Viking Battalion had put forth a great effort to learn lessons they will carry on for the rest of their lives. At these battalion drills, the Viking Battalion’s Cadet Leadership taught new cadets how to march in a platoon, facing movements and how to salute.

The cadets marched as one while singing cadences. The new cadets of the battalion showed their skills and gained experience as they participated in their very first parade. Some new cadets even shared they had a great first experience and cannot wait to march again. After the parade, the cadets were treated with food provided by the Parent Support Group to celebrate their amazing performance. This event was an indication of the cadets’ dedication and confidence.
