On Monday, October 14th, 2024, the WoodBridge High School Senior High School Army JROTC Program from 4th Brigade participated in the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Conference. Gaining exposure to various aspects of the military the Cadets were able to interact with technical experts and General Officers alike. Walking through the exhibits, the Cadets got to see new technologies, vehicles, and weapons systems. During the luncheons sponsored by Cadet Command, Viking Battalion Cadets dined at the table of BG Amanda Azubuike, Chief, Public Affairs and learn about her journey from an Aviation Officer to becoming a General officer. Viking Battalion Cadre LTC (Ret.) Douglas Osborn and 1SG Daniel Jackson were afforded the honor of meeting retired Army Officer and star of “Battleship”, Colonel Gregory Gadson. Prior to their departure, observing their long-standing tradition, the Viking Battalion Staff and JROTC Instructors posed for a group photo on the convection center stairs.
