The Howard High School JROTC Lion’s Battalion proudly performed in the annual homecoming parade at Phelps Luck Drive this year. On this special occasion, many cadets took time out of their day to participate in the parade, showing their unwavering commitment to the program. From the moment, cadets lined up, it was clear that they were ready to serve and put on a show for the community.

The cadets marched in unison and some demonstrated their leadership by calling motivating cadences. The Lions Battalion was also joined by the newest cadets who showed their growing skills and gained more experience as they participated in a parade for the first time. Reflecting on the day, one cadet shared, “This experience was fun and showed my inner confidence I cannot wait to participate in it again next year.” Another cadet added, “I learned many new cadences and it was a cool experience to march with the rest of the battalion.” With all of the Lions Battalion showing up, this event was a true testament to the cadets’ dedication, skills, and unity. The Lions Battalion looks forward to having an even better experience at the parade next year.
